THE PARIS NEWS, Thursday, March 26, 1936, p. 3: “MISS THOMPSON OF PATTONVILLE DIES. Funeral Friday Afternoon For Daughter of Methodist Pastor. PATTONVILLE -- Miss Florence Thompson, 17 years old, youngest daughter of the Rev. C. B. Thompson, Methodist minister here, died about 1 o’clock Thursday afternoon after a long illness. The funeral will be held sometime Friday afternoon at the Methodist church here with burial at Highland cemetery near Deport. Miss Thompson who was born February 28, 1919, is survived by her parents and several brothers and sisters.”
