THE PARIS NEWS, 11 Dec 1990. 'Duncan M. Thompson, 70, of Waco died Monday, 10 Dec 1990, at his home. He was a former resident of Paris. Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, 12 Dec, at Evergreen Cemetery in Paris. Mr. Thompson was born 31 Mar 1920, in Paris, a son of Mr. and Mrs. G. Mack Thompson. He attended Paris schools and was a graduate of Paris High School and East Texas State University. He was a former tax collector for the Paris school district and Paris Junior College. Surviving are a son. Lt. Col. Duncan M. (Pete) Thompson of Columbus, Ohio; a daughter, Marsha Thompson Duckworth of Waco; five grandchildren, and a brother B.F. Thompson of Fort Worth.' Tombstone is inscribed, 'S-SGT US Army Air Corp WW II.' Buried next to Virginia Cleo Jones.
