Thompson, 84, formerly of Bogata, died Tuesday, Mar. 22, 1994, at San Juan Regional Medical Center in Farmington, NM. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Mar. 26, in Bogata Church of Christ with Benny Cogburn officiating. Wood funeral Home of Bogata will make burial in Highland Cemetery in Deport. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Thompson was born Feb. 2, 1910, in Red River County, a daughter of John William and Caldonia Moorman Starks. She married Clyde R. Thompson Oct. 20, 1926. He died Aug. 13, 1982. She was a member of Bogata Church of Christ, of Antek-Homa Chapter No. 2, Order of Eastern Star in McAlester, OK, where she had served as worthy matron. Surviving are a son, C.R. Thompson Jr. of Farmington, NM; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, John L. Starks of Paris; a sister, Audrey Hignight of Deport. She was preceded in death by an infant son, John L. Thompson.'
