THE PARIS NEWS, Mon., Sep. 23, 1996, p.1A. 'Accident Results in One Death A Broken Bow, OK woman died in a two-car auto accident Saturday in Paris. According to Paris police reports, Viola Thomason, 71, was a passenger in a 1996 Lincoln driven by Milton Baird, 73, of Idabel, OK. Mrs. Thomason was pronounced dead at McCuistion Regional Medical Center from injuries sustained. Emergency Medical Services personnel said the woman was in full cardiac arrest at the scene of the accident. Mr. Baird's vehicle was attempting to cross Loop 286 at the intersection of 34th NE when it was struck by a 1988 Corsica driven by Elizabeth Golden, 16, of Paris. Miss Golden was dismissed Sunday at St. Joseph's Hospital and Health Center. Baird remains in critical condition in St. Joseph's intensive care unit. Passengers Martha Baird and Art Thomason, 76, were treated and released at St. Joseph's. Lt. Bob Hundley said no citations have been issued and the standard vehicle accident investigation continues.'
