THE PARIS NEWS, Wednesday, July 6, 1955: 'Will thomas, retired farmer living at 519 Brown Ave., died Tuesday at 8:25 p.m. at his home where he had been ill some time. He was born in Texas, December 25, 1890 [sic, tombstone inscribed 1896], son of W. W. and Doshie (Stanfer) Thomas. The funeral will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Gene Roden & Sons chapel, and burial will be made in Highland Cemetery at Deport. Besides his wife, the former Miss Ethel Ray, Mr. Thomas leaves these children; L. L. Thomas, Magnolia, Ark., A____ Thomas, Lubbock; Jack D. Thomas and Miss Eloise Thomas, Paris; Gerald Dean Thomas and Will Thomas, Jr., both in Korea; and Mrs. Pat Wilson, Ray City, Ga.; nine grandchildren, and these brothers and sisters; Fred Thomas and Mrs. Tom Martin, Dallas; Sam Thomas, Mrs. J. D. Christian, Paris, and Mrs. Bonnie Lanier, Houston.' Buried near Doshia Thomas and Ethel Thomas.
