THE PARIS NEWS, Monday, December 31, 1951, p. 5: “Thomas Infant. Roy Clifton, five-months-old son of Mr. and Mrs. R. B. Thomas, Rt. 5, Paris, died Sunday at 2:50 a. m. at Lamar General Hospital. He had been ill a few days. Graveside services in Evergreen Cemetery were set for 2:30 p. m. Monday, Gene Roden and Sons, funeral directors, making burial. The Rev. Lester Singleton of Ramseur Baptist Church, had charge of services. The baby was born at Atlas, last July 31, his mother being the former Miss Lucille Green. Surviving besides the parents are two grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Green, Grant, Okla., and a half-brother and half-sister, Walter Lloyd Circles and Georgia Lou Circles, Rt. 5, Paris.”
