THE PARIS NEWS, Oct. 15, 2010: “Jack Thomas, 76, of Blossom died Thursday, Oct. 14, 2010, at Paris Regional Medical Center. Graveside rites are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16 at Knights of Honor Cemetery in Blossom with Rev. Henry Blackmon and Rev. Jason Bounds officiating. The family is to receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 15, at the funeral home. Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements. He was born April 20, 1934, to Will and Ethel Ray Thomas in Paris. He retired from Campbell Soup Company as an electrician and was a member of East Post Oak Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Will and Ethel Thomas; his first wife, Wanda Lou Thomas; and several brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife, Dimple Turner Thomas; three children, Mark Thomas and wife, Marsha, of Blossom, Linda Young and husband, Dale, of Powderly, and Gene ‘Catfish' Thomas and wife, Dolean, of Blossom; nine grandchildren, Eddie Young, Jeremy Thomas, Melissa Lester, Jason Young, Jesse Thomas, Jacob Thomas, Kayla Thomas, Garrett Thomas, and Michael Thomas; two sisters, Janie Brinson and Susie Roberts; two brothers, John Thomas and wife, Ruth, and Will Thomas and wife, Dorothy; several great-grandchildren; Dimple's children, Kathy Dumas, Dewayne Wilson and wife, Pennie, and Angie Brown and husband, Steven and Dimple's grandchildren James Wilson, Leslie ‘Doc' Wilson and Heather Jones. Honorary pallbearers are to be Eddie Young, Jeremy Thomas, Jason Young, Jesse Thomas, Jacob Thomas, Garrett Thomas, Michael Thomas, Terry Lester, James Wilson, Leslie Wilson, and Dakota Boyett.
