THE PARIS NEWS, Fri, Oct 14, 1960: “Thomas Edward Terry, former Pattonville-Milton telephone system owner, who also served as Justice of the Peace a number of years, died Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler. He had been ill some time. The funeral service, Saturday at 10 a.m., will be held at Grant Funeral Home here, and interment made in Highland Cemetery. Mr. Terry, son of the late Hugh M. and Martha A. (Roark) Terry, was born in Milton community July 23, 1877. His wife died in 1948. Survivors are these children; Mrs. Fred McHam and Miss Janice Terry, Tyler, and Thomas E. Terry, Dallas; a brother, J. C. Terry, Plainview, and a sister, Mrs. Mattie Hutchison, Denton.” Submitted by Carol Campbell.
