THE PARIS NEWS, Sun, Jun 27, 1948: “DEPORT --- The funeral of Mrs. T. E. (Major) Terry, who died Friday at home in Paris, 245-15th NW, was held here Saturday afternoon. The Pastor, the Rev. J. B. Hibbert, officiated at the Methodist Church, assisted by the Rev. O. R. Delmar, Baptist pastor, and J. M. Grant, funeral director, made burial at Highland Cemetery. Pallbearers were Clark Terry, Oral Terry, Dee Harvey, Herman Gray, Albis Ball and Dub Jones. Mrs. Terry, the former Miss Lucy Bell, was born at Pattonville, July 13, 1892. She had lived in Milton community most of her life until moving to Paris a few years ago. She was a member of the Methodist Church here. She leaves her husband; these children: Mrs. F. D. McHam and Miss Janice Terry, Tyler, and Sgt. Thomas Edward Terry with the Army in Germany, and a sister, Mrs. Bill Green, Paris.” Submitted by Carol Campbell.
