THE PARIS MORNING NEWS, Wednesday, May 18, 1932: 'Funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon for G. W. Teems, 88, who died late Tuesday night at his home at Glory. Services were held at Antioch church near Biardstown. Burial was at Antioch cemetery. Mr. Teems is survived by his widow, Mrs. Amanda Wright Teems.; two sons, Morgan A. Teems of Glory and W. M. Teems of Boaz, Ala.; eight daughters, Mrs. G. L. Bailey, Mrs. C. W. Moore, Mrs. T. J. Stephenson, Mrs. J. B. Wright of Glory; Mrs. R. H. Collins of Dallas, Mrs. Viola Hodgin of Holdenville, Okla.; Mrs. W. M. Travis and Mrs. M. B. Meeks of Idabel, Okla.'

Buried next to A.E. Teems. Tombstone is inscribed, 'Company G, 4th GA. Cavalry, CSA.'

George Washington Teems received a pension #28489 from the State of Texas for his service in the Confederate Army. His wife, Amanda E. Teems received one under the #50822.
