THE LAMAR COUNTY ECHO, 2 Feb 1989: "Willie Taylor Jr., 62, 1013-6th SE, died Tuesday, 24 Jan 1989, at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Services were held Thursday, 26 Jan, in Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. J.W. Sims officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery. Mr. Taylor was born 24 Feb 1926, in Biardstown, a son of William T. and Florence Walker Taylor. He attended Honey Grove schools and married Mary Virginia Smith on 9 Mar 1946. He was a longtime employee of Ideal Baking Co., working there 29 years. He later worked for Wonder Bread for eight years before retiring about a year and a half ago. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Linda June Taylor of Paris; three sons, Larry Wayne Taylor of Clarksville, Rodney Dale Taylor of Paris and Thomas Duane Taylor of Paris; seven grandchildren; one great grandson; and three sisters, Mrs. George Jones of Garland, Betty Lynch of Carrollton and Anita Whitener of Paris."
