Nickname is 'Jeff.' On the same stone with Lora Cook Taylor. Buried next to Ethel F. Atwell. THE LAMAR COUNTY ECHO, 30 Jul 1981. 'Luther (Jeff) Taylor, 153-10th NE, died Tuesday, 28 Jul 1981 at the Cherry Street Annex. Funeral services were held Wednesday, 29 Jul at Steele and Thomas Memorial Chapel with Haskell England officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery. Mr. Taylor was born 18 Oct 1891 in Ellis County, a son of Roland and Sarah Smith Taylor. He married Lora Cook in Lamar County 17 Feb 1920. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Bonham Stret Church of Christ. He was a member of the Roanoke Masonic Lodge No. 860 AF and AM and was a veteran of World War I, having served in the Navy. Survivors include his wife, Lora; two sons, R.W. (Dub) Taylor of Paris and Neil Taylor of Wichita Falls; one daughter, Sue Carico of Paris; nine grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.'
