THE PARIS NEWS, Thursday, Jan. 3, 1974, p. 4: 'Funeral services for Mrs. Payton Taylor Sr., of Hobbs, NM, were conducted Wednesday morning in Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel, Hubert Roach, Church of Christ minister, officiated and burial was made in Spring Hill Cemetery. Bearers were Mickey Cleburn, Pat Cleburn, Matthew Cleburn, Coy Cleburn, Woodrow Reeves and Stanley Terry. Mrs. Taylor, the former Jennie Lorene Cleburn of Paris, died Monday. She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Charlene Kates of Pecos and Mrs. Carol Galenbeck of Denver City, TX; two sons, Payton Taylor Jr. of Roswell, NM, and David Taylor of Hobbs; four sisters, Mrs. Billie Gibson of San Antonio, Mrs. Johnny Barnett of Chandersville, Ohio, Mrs. Elsie Tilson of Fritch and Mrs. Maude McGilvray of Andrews; four brothers, C. A. Cleburn of Blossom; W. W. Cleburn and Jerry Cleburn, both of Houston and Gene Cleburn of Detroit, Mich. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren.'
