LAMAR COUNTY ECHO Thu., Oct. 2, 1980, p. 6: 'Clifford L. Talley, 55, of 2113 W. Kaufman, died Sept. 27 in a local hospital. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon in the chapel of Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home with James Wilson, minister of Southside Church of Christ, and Gary Box officiating. Burial in Tigertown Cemetery. Mr. Talley was born in Wirt, OK., on May 1, 1925, son of Robert N. & Lydia Thames Talley. He attended schools in Borger, TX., and was a veteran of WW II. He married Miss Audria Hall on June 5, 1948. They lived in Amarillo and Grapevine before moving to Paris in 1977. He was employed by B & W Construction Co. at the power plant in Fort Towson, OK. Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Sharon Gail Talley of Paris; his mother, Mrs. Lydia Ballard of San Francisco, CA.; two sisters, Mrs. Laveday Downey of Daly City, CA., and Mrs. Loretta Norton of San Francisco. Pallbearers were Joel W. Ingram, George Stevens, Ross Porter, Charles Ferguson, John Lowrance and Bill McMillan.'

Tombstone is inscribed, 'Husband of A. M. 'Sally' Hall.' Brother of Laveda L. Downey. Also has military marker inscribed, 'MM1 US Navy WW II.'
