| Notes THE PARIS NEWS, Febuary 1984: "Claude Tallant, 211 1st. NE, died at McCuistion Medical Center at 1 a.m. Tuesday, February 7, 1984. Services will be held at the cemetery at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, February 9, with the Rev. Jerry Moore officiating. Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home have charge of arrangements. The family will be at the home of Mrs. Clea Stephens in the Georgia Community. Mr. Tallant was born July 28, 1895, in Sash, Texas, a son of William Thomas and Manda Yates Tallant. He attended school at Campbell and moved to the Georgia Community in 1917 with his family. He had lived in Paris for the last 30 years. Surviving are a brother, W. E. (Bill) Tallant of Tigertown; three sisters, Mrs. Lillie Thomas of Commerce, Mrs. Clea Stephens of the Georgia Community and Mrs. Hugh Kilgore of Sherman and several nieces and nephews."
