THE PARIS NEWS, Sun., Jan. 19, 1997, p. 6A: “Mae Stinson Books, 87, of Paris died Friday, Jan. 17, 1997, at Paris Nursing Home. She was born May 15, 1909, in Petty, the daughter of Zack and Nellie Kimball. She married Earnest Stinson in 1925. He preceded her in death in October 1961. She then married Willard Books who also preceded her in death. A licensed vocational nurse for 35 years, she was a member of First Baptist Church of Paris. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Dr. Sidney Young officiating. Burial will follow in Meadowbrook Gardens. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law Dorothy and Terrell Boyd of Paris: a son and daughter-in-law, Clyde and Patricia Stinson of Grapevine; six grandchildren, LeeAnn Stinson Goodwin, Alan Boyd, Dr. Gary Boyd, Craig Boyd, Steve Stinson and Diane Stinson; and 12 great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Alan Boyd, Dr. Gary Boyd, Craig Boyd and Steve Stinson. The family will receive friends at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Terrell Boyd at 3245 Lamar Ave.”
