THE PARIS NEWS, Tuesday, June 24, 1924: “John B. Ingram a well known citizen, died at 11:30 Monday morning at his home on East Booth St. after an illness for several months. He was survived by his three sons, Tobe and Tince Ingram of Paris, Bill Ingram of Boswell, Okla. and a daughter Mrs. Wooldridge, who made her home with him. His only sister who lives in Corpus Christi was not able to be with him at his death. He has a number of relatives near here, including Bill Ingram of Jennings, Joe Nixon of Emerson, a nephew at Rufe, Ok. and three nieces; one of Powderly, Mrs. Bower of Paris and Mrs. Dunagan of Ennis. He was born Mar 3, 1854 in Wilson Co., Tenn. and came to Texas as a boy. He was well known as a farmer in the community. The funeral will be conducted this afternoon at 3:30 at the family residence. Dr. W. M. Wright, pastor of the First Baptist Church and Rev. Mr. Walters officiating. Burial will be in Providence cemetery at Givens. Mr. Ingram having been a member for more than thirty-five years.”
