LAMAR COUNTY ECHO, Thu., Oct. 4, 1979, p.8: 'Mrs. E. L. Bailey, 87, of Sterling City, formerly of Paris, died there Monday, October 1, 1979. Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at the First Presbyterian Church in Sterling City, with the Rev. Tucker officiating. Graveside services were held in Evergreen Cemetery in Paris Thursday morning with the Rev. Julian T. Hendren officiating. Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Hannah Hull Bailey was born in Paris on June 25, 1892, daughter of George Hull and Sarah Parr Hull. She attended public schools in Paris and was married to Mr. Bailey in 1917. His death occurred on January 23, 1974. They had moved from Paris to Sterling City in 1925, where they operated an extensive ranch. Mrs. Bailey was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Sterling City. Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Frank B. Dooley (Sally) and Mrs. Fred Council, both of Paris: and several nieces and nephews.'
