THE PARIS NEWS, Sunday, October 24, 1943, p. 6: “THOMPSON INFANT. Jean Shelly Thompson, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Barney Thompson of Chicota, born October 18 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, died there Friday at 8:15 a.m. Funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the residence at Chicota, and interment was made in Forest Chapel Cemetery by Brown-Roden Funeral Home. The Rev. James M. Simpson, the pastor, officiated.”
