| Notes Information from Rebekah Teubner, teubnerr@gmail.com, 09/20/2016: David William Benson, Jr. married Mary A. Bennington, daughter of James Thomas Bennington and Martha Adams. She remarried in 1896 to J. M. Austin. They appear in the 1900 Lamar census as J M and E A Austin with 2 daughters, Myrtle and Bessie. By the 1910 census Bessie is living in Delta county with her maternal grandmother and aunt, Nancy Bennington Vaughn. She is probably the same Bessie Austin who married Lannie Moore in 1914 in Delta county. Information from Jean Caddel: David W. Benson married M. A. Bennington, 15 Jul 1891. Tombstone is inscribed, “D. W. Benson.” |
