LAMAR COUNTY ECHO Thu., Feb 23, 1984. 'Mrs. W.T. (Cecil) Irwin, 200-13th SE, died at Bryan at 6:15 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 18. Services were held Monday, Feb. 20, at Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Raymond Armstrong officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery. Mrs. Irwin was born Jan. 9, 1897, in Paris, a daughter of J.W. Williams and Katie Hood Williams. She attended schools in Paris and married W.T. Irwin on Nov. 10, 1915. He died in 1963. She was a member of First Christian Church in Paris and of its Loyal Builders Class and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She had been in Bryan since December. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. E. Guy (Jane) Armstrong of Dallas and Mrs. Ted (Mary Cecil) Trew of Bryan; four granddaughters, Mrs. Mary Ann Gabbert of San Antonio, Mrs. Ellen Berman of Houston, Mrs. Becky Rice of Bryan and Miss Cindy Trew of Austin; one sister, Mrs. Bedford (Melvinia) Booth of Paris; one brother, J.W. Williams, Jr. of Paris and several nieces and nephews.' This is also entered under surname Williams. On the same stone with William Tate Irwin.
