THE PARIS NEWS, Monday, Feb. 17, 1936: "Funeral Service will be held here Tuesday Morning for R. K. Irion familiarly known as Uncle Bob, died at 7 o'clock Monday morning at home of his daughter, Mrs. J. L. White, 85 South Thirty-fifth street, where he had lived many years. The funeral will be held at 10 o'clock Tuesday morning at Emberson-Brown-Roden funeral chapel, with interment at Evergreen cemetery. Born at Gravelly Springs, Ala. January 14, 1855. He came to Texas about 50 years ago and lived near Honey Grove. He was married there to Miss Matilda Temple who died many years ago. The only immediate survivors are his daughter Mrs. White and one son Bill Irion and five grandchildren."
Information from Billy Tribbey, Paris, TX, 75460, 30 Apr 1996: This person's name was Robert Kirby Irion. Sexton records are incorrect in the spelling and initials. He was the son of Phillip C. Irion, from Alabama. Robert Kirby Irion was born in Gravity Springs, AL. Robert married Matilda Temple.
