LAMAR COUNTY ECHO, Thu., Aug. 9, 1984: 'Services for Robert E. Irion of Balch Springs, formerly of Paris, were conducted at Anderson-Clayton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ernest Riddle and Rev. Richard Oliver. Mr. Irion died July 25 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in June 1983. Son of George and Nancy Irion. Married Hazel Marie Burnett on Sep 25, 1937. They moved to Balch Springs in 1953. He was a retired carpenter and belonged to Carpenters' Local 1276. He was a member of the AARP chapter in Mesquite and the Senior Citizens Center in Balch Springs. He was a member of the Congregational Methodist Church in Dallas. Surviving are his wife; a son, Bobby Irion of Balch Springs; a daughter, Melda Marie Barack and David Barack, both of Balch Springs; a great grandchild, Brandy Barak of Balch Springs, and a sister, Eleanor Petty of Paris. Bearers were Richard Adams, David Baraks, Grover Tyler, Garland Survivors are his wife, a son, Bobby Irion, Garland Barrangton, Ernest Mitchell and Garland Melvin.'
