THE PARIS NEWS, 19 Jul 1965: 'W. Martin Ingram, 64, longtime cotton classer for the US Department of Agriculture, who lived at 750 E. Houston St., died Monday at 7:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's Hospital. He had been ill the past six months. Funeral service Tuesday at 2 p.m. will be held at Fry and Gibbs chapel, with interment in Evergreen Cemetery. Officiating will be the Rev. Don Mecoy of First Christian Church, where Mr. Ingram was a member; the Rev. Kenneth Hay, Lakeview Christian Church, Dallas, and the Rev. Harvey Redford, retired minister here. Mr. Ingram;s local USDA associates are designated honorary bearers. Son of E.F. and Ione (Martin) Ingram, Mr. Ingram was born in Viewpoint community, south of Paris, 9 Jan 1901 [sic]. He attended public schools and a commercial college here and Texas A&M College. He was employed by local firms as a cotton buyer before joining the USDA about 25 years ago. He married Miss Birmah Dodd in East Christian Church, Dallas, 2 Mar 1925, and she survives besides a son, Martin Ingram Jr., Dallas; three grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Walter Thompson, Jefferson Road, Paris; a brother, Roy Ingram, Jennings community, and several nieces and nephews.'
