THE PARIS NEWS, Monday, May 30, 1960. “Emmett Franklin Ingram, retired farmer of Paris, Rt. 2, died Sunday about 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Hospital here. He was president of the Farmers Seed and Gin Company 25 years, prior to its sale to Lamar Cotton Oil Company, two years ago. The funeral was set Monday at 4 p.m. in Fry and Gibbs chapel, conducted by the Rev. Claude Stinson of First Christian Church, where Mr. Ingram was a member. Burial was arranged in Evergreen Cemetery. Son of the late W. D. and Alice Sarah (McHam) Ingram, Emmett Ingram was born in Jennings community, July 4, 1881. He was a former board member of First Christian Church, belonged to the Men’s Bible Class there, and had been district deputy grand master of the Masonic lodge. He formerly was a member of the Farm Bureau. He married Miss Ione Martin, December 24, 1899, and she survives besides these children: Mrs. Lula Mae Thompson, Paris, Rt. 2; Martin Ingram, Paris, and Roy Ingram, Paris, Rt. 3; 11 other descendants, and these sisters and brothers; Mrs. T. L. Hoover, Mrs. F. C. Ray and Claud Ingram, Paris; Mrs. R. I. McKinney and Sam Ingram, Biardstown.”
