THE PARIS NEWS Tue., Jan. 28, 1975. 'Joe Iness of 514-7th NW, died Tuesday at 7:25 a.m. in St. Joseph's Hospital following a long illness. Services will be held Wednesday at 4 p.m. in the Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel conducted by the Rev. James Sims. Interment will be in Forest Hills Cemetery [another notice stated Forest Chapel.] under the direction of Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the 514-7th NW residence in Paris. He was born Sep. 26, 1913 in Hugo, OK, a son of the late W.T. Iness and Edna Patterson Iness. On June 28, 1963 he married Mary Thweatt. Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Frederick of Clute, Mrs. Billy McCurry of Clute, Miss Josephine Iness and Tammy Iness, both of Paris; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Belinda Lott and Mrs. Charlotte Handley, both of Paris; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and two brothers, Sherman Iness of Grand Falls and J.D. Iness of Monahans. He was a long time employe of Roy Williamson Company of Paris.'

Tombstone is inscribed, 'Willie Lee Joe Iness.' Buried next to William E. Kilpatrick.
