THE PARIS NEWS, Tue., Apr. 22, 1997, p.10A: '(Picture) Imogene Iglehart, 81, Rt. 5, Paris, died Monday, April 21, 1997, at St. Joseph's Hospital and Health Center. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, at Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Manley Beasley Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. She was born Oct 1, 1915, a daughter of Goy and Jesse Crane Ellis. She married Howard Iglehart in 1948. He died in 1978. She was a housewife and member of First Baptist Church of Paris. Surviving are a son, Joseph Howard Iglehart and wife Peggy; two grandchildren, Jenna Marie and Jason Howard Iglehart; a sister, Mildred Pettey of Paris; brothers, Buddy Ellis of Chanute, KS, Bill Ellis of Arlington and Robert Ellis of Grand Prairie; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Mike Pettey, G.C. Pettey III, Larry Pettey, Don Ellis, Dewayne Ellis, Bubba Justiss, Robert Ellis and Sherwood Ellis.'
A call to Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home to clarify the last name assured the correct spelling was IGLEHART. Notice the birth date states 1 Oct, 1915, and the tombstone reading shows 2 Oct. 1915.
Tombstone is inscribed, 'Jean Ellis Iglehart.' On the same stone with Howard P. Iglehart.
