THE PARIS NEWS, Wednesday, Feb. 25, 1976: “Mrs. Lizzie (Elizabeth) Hunt Trammell, 87, of Deport died Tuesday evening in her home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Grant Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Julian Lahn will officiate and burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Mrs. Trammell was born Nov. 26, 1888, in Louisiana. She married Arch Hunt in 1902. He died in 1921. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Bessie E. Haskell and Mrs. James Nichols, both of Deport, two sons, Ollie Hunt of Deport and James C. Hunt of Dallas; 16 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren. A number of great-great-grandchildren also survive. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.” Submitted by Sylvia Tongson.
