THE PARIS NEWS, Mon., Aug. 11, 1997, p. 4B: 'Jack Oliver Bartlett, 69, of Paris died Saturday, Aug. 9, 1997, at St. Joseph's Hospital and Health Center. Services were scheduled at 4 p.m. Monday, Aug. 11. at Bright-Holland Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Alan Abraham officiating. Burial was to be in Meadowbrook Cemetery. He was born Jan. 28, 1928, in Charleston to Rufus R. and Ethel Edmonson Bartlett. He married Virginia McGee Feb. 24, 1972, at North Paris Baptist Church. He was retired from Campbell Soup. Surviving are his wife; a brother, Rufus Bartlett of Oregon; four sisters, Virginia Pitt of Houston, Nettie Painter of Paris, Mildred Creekmore of Commerce, and Wanda Hutsell of Dallas. He was preceded in death by four sisters, Ruby Ross, Dalia McGee, Dorothy Webster, and Jimmie Rodriguez.'
