THE PARIS NEWS, Tuesday, August 31, 1954: “Jacob Borden Brown 67, former Delta County farmer, died at home here, 741 W. Brame St., Monday at 3:45 p.m., after a long illness. He moved here from Enloe several years ago. Funeral services Wednesday at 4 p.m., will be held at McDonald Funeral Home in Cooper, and burial wil be made in Meadowbrook Memorial Park, east of Paris. Survivors include Mrs. Brown, the former Miss Alta Mae Allen of Paris; a daughter, Mrs. Lula Biggers, Dallas; a sister, Mrs. Gertrude Echerd, of Miles, and these brothers: Wilburn Brown, Paris; Buster Brown and W. S. Brown, Dallas and W. P. Brown, San Antonio.” Submitted by Sylvia Tongson.
