| Notes THE PARIS NEWS, October, 1983: "Daisy Upchurch, 9762 Lake June Road, Dallas, died Thursday, Oct. 6, in a Dallas hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, at Troy Sugg Funeral Home in Dallas. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in Evergreen Cemetery in Paris. Gene Roden's Sons, Directors of Funerals , has charge of local arrangements. Mrs. Upchurch was born Dec. 9, 1902, in South Carolina, a daughter of C. F. Kirby and Sarah Millwood Kirby. Her husband, Sam Upchurch, died Sept. 16, 1946. She is survived by two daughters, Ruth Martin and Imogene Brissell, and three grandchildren." Tombstone is inscribed, 'Daisy Upchurch.' Buried next to William B. Jackson. Johnson Monument Company records show maiden name of Kirby. |
