Notes

Lamar County Death Records Bk.#1, p.135, #1405, white male, 2 yr., died in Maxey, of diphtheria, by J.E. Fuller, Sumner. Original record does not state a cemetery. A tombstone was found in Mt. Vernon Cemetery with exact dates located as stated inscribed 'Daughter of J.M. & M.S. Burton.' Original record also stated death on 26 Jan 1906 & stone inscribed 26 Jan 1906.
