THE PARIS NEWS, Fri., May 6, 1994, p.6A. 'Deport - Bob Burton, 54, 2485 W. Sherman, Paris, died Wednesday, May 4, 1994. Chapel services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 7 in Wood Funeral Home Chapel under the direction of Wood Funeral Home in Deport with the Rev. John Hicks officiating. Mr. Burton was born Feb. 28, 1940, in Salinas, CA, a son of Leslie Alford and Elsie Cofer Burton. He married Pauline St. John Nov. 24, 1964. He was owner of NAPA Automotive Parts Store and a member of the Paris Investment Club and the Elks Lodge. He had served in the U.S. Army. Surviving are his wife; a son, Miles Burton of Paris; two daughters, Lynn and Jenny Burton, both of Paris; his mother, Elsie Burton of Salines; and a grandson, Andrew Burton of Paris. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Lamar County Humane Association.' Wood Funeral Home furnished information that Mr. Burton's death occurred at McCuistion Regional Medical Center Emergency Room. He was to be cremated.
