THE PARIS NEWS-Mar.14,1991: SHERMAN — Eugenia Burleson, 85, of Sherman, formerly of Paris, died Wednesday, March 13, at Medical Plaza Hospital in Sherman. Services will be held at 9 a.m. Friday, March 15, in Waldo Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Evergreen Cemetery in Paris. Mrs. Burleson was born May 13, 1905, in Paris, a daughter of John W. Rountree and Aurora Price Rountree. She married Vivian Stanley Burleson on Sept. 12, 1925, in Austin. She was an instrument instructor at Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls during World War II. She graduated from the University of Texas in 1926 with a MA degree. She had been a volunteer at the Dallas Scottish Rite Hospital. Surviving are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Cecil (Billye) Miles of Gainesville and Mrs. Nolan (Helen) Kelso of Dallas; a sister, Isabel Rountree of Paris; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Scottish Rite Crippled Childrens Hospital in Dallas.

Daughter of John W. and A. Price Rountree.  Tombstone includes picture of Eugenia on the stone.  On the same stone with Vivian Stanley Burleson, which is inscribed, “His body was donated to Southwest Medical School for the study of cancer.
