Notes

Information from Debbie Burks, 3935 Sage Trail, Paris, TX 75460; born in Missouri, the son of William Cyrus and Margaret Arnett Burks. He came with his family to Texas in a covered wagon, arriving about 1 Jan 1900. He died of spinal meningitis in Lamar County. Inscribed 'Burrell Burks.' Also in the burial records of J.W. Milligan, Pastor of Chicota Baptist Church, as only 'Mr. Burks, a young man.'
