| Notes THE PARIS NEWS, 21 May 1940, Tue, p. 5: "R. G. BURCHAM, 90, DIES SUNDAY AT CALIFORNIA HOME - Word was received of the death of R. G. Burcham, 90 years old, which occurred Sunday evening at the home of his son, Gouley Burcham, in Beverly Hills, Calif. He formerly lived in Paris many years. The body will arrive here Friday at 12:50 p. m. on the Texas and Pacific train, and funeral service will be held at 3 p. m. at Manton-Fry Funeral Chapel. Interment will be made at Evergreen Cemetery. Paris Commandery No. 9 Knights Templar, having charge. The only immediate survivors besides his son are some nieces, and nephews, among them Mrs. P. H. Pickens, Miss Pyron Burcham, Jim Burcham, all of Paris. Tombstone is inscribed, "Born in Putnam Co., Indiana. Died in Beverly Hills, CA." On the same stone with Anna E. Burcham. |
