Notes

From an untitled obituary with a handwritten date of 28 Jan 1973: 'Mrs. T. R. (Mary) Bunch, 1415 20th NE, died Saturday at St. Joseph's Hospital where she had been a patient 12 days. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Gene Roden's Sons with the Rev. Felix Kindel, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be made in Little Vine Cemetery. These grandsons will serve as bearers: Mike Mahaffey, Joe Mahaffey, Randy Bunch, Jim Rooks, Billy Mac Bass, Tommy Mahaffey and Johnny Mahaffey. Mrs. Bunch was born 25 Aug 1895, in Powderly, daughter of W. J. and Julia (Stites) Brown. She was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Delma Bunch and Elma Bunch, both of Paris; two daughters, Mrs. Floyd Bass of Paris and Mrs. John Mahaffey of Hunt, Tex.; three sisters: Mrs. Obie Norman of Napa, Calif., Mrs. Margaret Bledsoe of Houston and Mrs. Billie Evelyn Sawyer of Paris. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews and 31 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.'
