From an untitled obituary with a handwritten date of 8 Sep 1974: ‘Funeral services for Mrs. J.W. Bullard, 327 George Wright Homes, were set for 2 p.m. Monday in Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lewis Ricketson officiating. Graveside services and burial will be at 6 p.m. Monday in Avery. Mrs. Bullard died at 10:50 a.m. Sunday in St. Joseph’s Hospital. The former Miss Elsie Lee Aiken, Mrs. Bullard was born 27 Jun 1892, in Arkansas, a daughter of William R. and Josephine (Coker) Aiken. She was a real estate saleslady in Texarkana and moved here seven years ago after the death of her husband. She was a member of the Christian Church and of the Eastern Star Chapter in Allen, Okla. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. J.L. James of Rt.1, Sumner and one grandson, Jon James of Rt 1, Sumner.’
