THE PARIS NEWS, Tuesday, June 26, 1956, p. 5: “T. T. Bryan, 79, a retired farmer living at 2301 W. Austin St., died late Monday at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at Fry and Gibbs, chapel, and burial will be made in West Post Oak Cemetery. Survivors include seven children among them Mrs. Casey Smith, and R. L. Bryan, Paris, and Mrs. J.O. Keller, Clarksville.”
THE PARIS NEWS, Wednesday, June 27, 1956, p. 3: “Last rites for T. T. Bryan, retired farmer who lived at 2301 W. Austin St., were set Wednesday at 2:30 p. m. at Fry-Gibbs chapel, conducted by Leonard Coker and Hubert Roach of the Church of Christ. Burial was arranged in West Post Oak, pallbearers being Nat Thompson, C. C. Phillips, David Long, Charles Long, Charles Casey and Elbert Townsend. Mr. Bryan, who died in a hospital here Monday, came to Lamar County when he was 16 years old, living in the Davis community until 1949, when he moved to the home here of his son, R. L. Bryan. Son of the late J. T. and Anna (Bennett) Bryan, he was born in Louisville, Ky., August 23, 1876. He married Miss Anna Virginia Taylor, June 25, 1899, her death occurring May 5, 1926. He had been a member of the Church of Christ for 60 years. He leaves these children: Mrs. Grace Picard, Oklahoma City, Okla.; Mrs. Casey Smith and R. L. Bryan here; Mrs. J. O. Keller, Clarksville; Otho Bryan, Borger; Chester Bryan, Downey, Calif., and Otto Bryan, Dallas; 23 grandchildren; a sister and two brothres, Mrs. Gertrude Willard and Ellmer Bryan of Ralls, and Ernest Bryan of Crane.”
Lamar County, Texas Marriage Records: T. T. Bryan married Annie Taylor on 25 Jun 1899.
Tombstone is inscribed, “T. T. Bryan 1879-1956.” On the same stone with wife, Annie V. Bryan.
