LAMAR COUNTY ECHO 31 Jan 1985. 'Alfonzo F. Bryan, 1106 E. Houston St., died at Cherry Street Annex Monday, Jan. 28, at 12:15 p.m. Services were held Wednesday, Jan. 30, at Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. George Fisk pastor of Oak Park United Methodist Church officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery. Mr. Bryan was born June 5, 1892 in Stonewall, OK.., a son of Hugh Bryan and Alice Cross Bryan. He married Roxie Henry on July 3, 1910, in Oklahoma. She died July 9, 1975. They moved to Texas soon after their marriage and settled in the Detroit area. They lived there and in Lamar County until 1942 when they moved to Paris. He operated a grocery store in Paris for a number of years. He was a Methodist. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Rossie Prince of Paris; three sons, Ronso Bryan of Paris, Jim Bryan of Paris and Kenneth Bryan of Jefferson; 17 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Effie Tharp of Ada, OK.. and Mrs. Ethel Sanders of Ada'.
