THE PARIS NEWS, Monday, June 11, 1951, p. 8: S. O. Brunson, 79, retired farmer, died at home, 1780 W. Houston St., Sunday at 1 p.m. He had been an invalid about five years. The funeral, Tuesday at 2 p.m., will be conducted at Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home by the Rev. J. H. Johnson, Methodist pastor, assisted by Perry A. Gotham, Church of Christ minister. Internment will be made in Forest Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Herschel Palmer, Tode Hodges, Harrison Dollins, Leonard Hewgley, Claud Cass and A. E. Armstrong. Mr. Brunsosn born in Hunt County, Dec. 4, 1871, was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Brunson. He had lived in Lamar County 32 years. Besides his wife, the former Miss Sina L. Wilson of Comanche, he leaves these children: Mrs. M. R. Hansberger and Tom O. Brunson, Noel, Mo.; Mrs. W. B. Powers, Greggton; Mrs. Joel Hall, Fort Worth; Mrs. P. E. Bradley, Countyline Okla; Mrs. M. V. Dunman, Odessa; Curtis Brunson, Clyde Brunson and Roy Brunson, Snyder; 22 grandchildren, 11 greaa-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Pearl Mitchell, Thorpe Springs,, and these brothers: Dave Brunson, Bronte; Lee Brunson, Abilene; Tom Brunson, Gregory; Elbert Brunson, Alice, Okla; Harvel Brunson, Odessa, Ervin Brunson, San Angelo."
