THE PARIS NEWS, Wed., Nov. 30, 1994, p.8A. 'Marvin W. Bruce, 84, of Blossom died Tuesday, Nov. 29, 1994, at McCuistion Regional Medical Center. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 2, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Wesley O'Donnell and Steve Marx officiating. Military graveside rites and burial will be at Knights of Honor Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. At other times they will be at the Ann and Presley Eddins home, 715 Ash St., Blossom. Mr. Bruce was born July 16, 1910, in Sulphur Bluff, a son of Alford Perry and Alma Bain Bruce. He married Otreal Arnold Dec. 19, 1944, in Hugo, OK. She died Aug. 6, 1989. He was a member of the Bagwell Church of Christ. He was an Air Force retired technical sergeant with 23 years of service. He served with the 8th Air Force during D-Day in World War II and served four tours of duty overseas. He served during the Korean campaign, being stationed in Japan. During the Vietnam War, he was stationed in Turkey. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Ann and Presley Eddins of Blossom and Alice Jo and Gary Nardin of Edna; a sister-in-law, Mildred Bruce of Campbell; three grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Alton Bruce and Curtis Bruce.'
