Hammond; cause of death, Measles, Pneumonia; date of death, 28 Feb 1917; age 3 years; Father: T. D. Bruce; body shipped to Ladonia, TX 8:15 am; interment at Ladonia; casket size 3/6 $25.00; embalming $25.00; Total $50.00.

THE PARIS MORNING NEWS, 1 Mar 1917, p. 5: “Little Blanche, the three-year-old daughter of T. D. Bruce, superintendent of the Southland Cotton Oil company, died at 11:40 o’clock yesterday morning at the family residence, 465 South Church Street, of pneumonia and measles. The body will be taken to Ladonia this morning for burial.”

Information from Ron Brothers: Child of Elisa Ann Thomas and Thomas Decoursey Bruce, born in 23 Oct 1913 and died 28 Feb 1917. Buried in an unmarked grave in Ladonia Cemetery, Ladonia, Fannin, Texas, USA.
