THE PARIS NEWS, Monday, September 25, 1961: “Mrs. May B. Brownlee, retired business woman and former district clerk at Bonham two terms, died here Sunday at 11:45 a.m. at the home of her daughter, Mrs. H. S. McCrummen, 1273 W. Sherman St. Neal Bozeman, Christian Science reader, will conduct the service Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Gene Roden & Sons chapel, burial to be made in Evergreen Cemetery. Born near Bonham, August 16, 1871, Mrs. Brownlee was a daughter of Stephen and Mary (Badgett) Bell. Her daughter is the only immediate survivor besides a foster granddaughter, Mrs. John A. Douglas, Fontana, Calif.”
