THE LAMAR COUNTY ECHO, 29 Jan 1981. 'Frank Brownfield, 78, of Hugo, Okla. died 24 Jan 1981 in a Paris hospital. Funeral services were held Wednesday morning, 28 Jan in the Friendship Baptist Church with the Rev. Cecil Crawford officiating. Burial was in Hodgen Cemetery in Hodgen, Okla. under the direction of Lampton-Mills Funeral Home. Mr. Brownfield was born in McKinney on 11 May 1902, son of Charles Brownfield and Polly Langley Brownfield. Survivors include his wife, Myrtle Pearson Brownfield; five sons, Dale Brownfield of Fort Smith, Gene Brownfield of Lansing, Kan., Bruce Yarbrough and Kenneth Yarbrough of Paris and Jimmy Yarbrough of Shreveport, La.; nine daughters, Mrs. Katherine White, Mrs. Christine Fowler, Mrs. Pauline Mork, Mrs. Mamie Dunham, Miss Irene Brownfield, Mrs. Patricia Morgan, Mrs. Sarah Peterson and Mrs. Allen Arnold, all of Hugo and Mrs. Juanita McDowell of Haughton, La.; one brother, Homer Brownfield of Hugo; 48 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.'
