THE PARIS NEWS, Thu., May 23, 1996, p. 14A: 'Della Brothers, 71, 215-45th SW, Paris died at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, May 21, 1996, at McCuistion Regional Medical Center. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 24, in Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Sam Caldwell officiating. Burial will be in Red Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Mrs. Brothers was born May 11, 1925, in Lamar County, a daughter of Ervin Wakefield and Beatrice Payne Tidwell. She married Marshall Brothers Dec. 28, 1940. He died in 1981. She attended schools in Lamar County and worked in retail sales most of her life. Surviving are a son, Benny Brothers of Greenville; a daughter, JoAnn McGhee and her husband Glen of Paris; seven grandchildren, Thomas McMonigle, Tammie Springer, Teddy McMonigle all of Paris, Tracy McMonigle of Maryland, Jimmy McGhee of Huntsviile, Larry McGhee of Denison and Sharri Brownwood of Sumner; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Calvin Tidwell of Wichita Falls and Alvin Tidwell of Fort Worth; two sisters, Bonnie Miller and Inez Herrington, both of Fort Worth; and numerous nieces and nephews.'
