| Notes THE LAMAR COUNTY ECHO, 30 Oct 1980. 'Elmer W. Brock, 70, of Kanawha, died 24 Oct 1980 at Cherry Street Manor. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Kanawha Methodist Church with the Rev. Jeff Davis and the Rev. Tommy Ellis officiating. Interment was in Kanawha Cemetery under the direction of Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home. Mr. Brock was born in Kanawha on 29 Aug 1910, son of William Brock and Maude Walker Brock. He attended Kanawha schools and was a farmer, rancher and cucumber purchaser there for a number of years. He was a member of the Kanawha Methodist Church and its Adult Sunday School Class. Mr. Brock is survived by his mother; one brother, Van Brock of Kanawha and one niece, Mrs. Becky Huggins of Paris.' |
