THE PARIS NEWS, Sun., Sep. 17, 1995, p. 10A: "Helen Sjouk Britten, 77, of Powderly, died Friday, Sep. 15, 1995, at St. Joseph’s Hospital & Health Center. She was born in Rotterdam, Holland, Feb. 20, 1918, the daughter of Jacob Vander Pol and Nettie Leyte. She married Gale M. Britten July 31, 1937. He died in 1984. Burial will be in St. George, UT. Gene Roden’s Sons, Directors of Funerals, in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Survivors include sons, Frank Britten and Wife Debbie of Powderly; and James R. Britten and wife Cheryl of St. George, UT; and a sister, Ann Marrazzo of Riverside, CA; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints."
