| Notes THE LAMAR COUNTY ECHO, 22 Jul 1990: "Elba I. Briggs, 101, 1407 Maple, died Friday, 20 Jul 1990, at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, 23 Jul, in Gene Roden’s Sons Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Tigertown Cemetery. Mrs. Briggs was born 10 Feb 1889, in Forest Hill, a daughter of William Henry and Melissa Zimreude Kuykendall Adams. She married Aaron P. Briggs in 1912. He died 4 Jul 1960. Surviving are two daughters, Miss Jimmie Ruth Briggs of Paris and Mrs. Ray (Iola) Hopkins of Caviness; two sons, Henry Briggs of Tigertown and Robert Briggs of Grand Prairie; eight grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren; two step granddaughters and four step great grandchildren.
