THE PARIS NEWS, Monday, May 8, 1961, p. 2: “BRIDGERS INFANT. Jeffery Paul, day-old son of Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Bridgers, 152-19th NW, died Sunday at 5 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Hospital, where he was born Saturday. Graveside service were set for 4 p.m. Monday in Georgia Cemetery, in northeast Lamar County, the Rev. Herschel Stephens officiating. Fry & Gibbs had charge of burial. Surviving besides the father and the mother, the former Miss Shirley Bowden, are a brother, David Eugene, and the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. G. R. Bridgers, Sumner, Rt. 2, and Mrs. and Mrs. E. F. Bowden, Paris.”
